An Introduction to Clinical Diagnosis An Introduction to CIinical Diagnosis in the Tropics is a book primarily intended as companion to medical students starting clinical training in tropical areas, and for final year medical and postgraduate students preparing for examinations. As with previous editions, the text covers the approach to the patient, techniques of physical examination in all systems and the steps required in reaching a diagnosis. Throughout the text, practical hints are included to help both the students and the more experienced physician new to the tropics. The current edition IS published in an expanded form in colour, and with extensive illustrations. It covers all systems including subspecialties like ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedics, psychiatry and paediatrics. There are also sections on nutritional assessment of children and basic laboratory techniques for the clinician. About the author A.O. Falase is a Professor of Medicine, University of lbadan. He was a former Vice-Chancellor of the same university.
